MIDDLE ATLANTIC PRODUCTS' NEW PDT SERIES LOW-PROFILE POWER STRIPS PROVIDE GREATER CONFIGURATION VERSATILITY FOR SECURITY SYSTEM DESIGN AND INSTALLATION

PDT Series is an industry first for highly configurable, thin power strips

ORLANDO, FLORIDA, September 12, 2005 - Middle Atlantic Products today introduced its new PDT Series Low-Profile Power Strips at the 2005 ASIS expo. With unprecedented configuration options, the PDT Series Low-Profile Power Strips are field configurable for single or dual circuits, isolated or non-isolated grounding, and provide enhanced versatility for power distribution inside enclosure systems. The PDT Series' dramatically lower-profile form factor measures less than an inch deep saving considerable space within cable-intensive security enclosures and allowing integrators to install power strips in previously impossible locations.

Factory pre-assembled and easily ordered with just one SKU , the UL-Listed PDT Series is field-configurable for single or dual circuits - removing even more variables when it comes to ordering, stocking and installing power strips for security applications. Featuring a J-Box for easy hardwiring and alternating outlet colors to differentiate circuits, installers now have the flexibility and ease to configure their power as needed. The PDT Series additionally includes corded models in 15 and 20 Amp versions, and all PDT Series strips include a mounting kit that includes lances and quick clips that ensure easy attachment to rack rail brackets on vertical enclosures.

The new PDT Series ensures minimal wasted power outlets by strategically spacing each to accommodate plug-in power supplies, providing optimum useable space yet occupying minimal rackspace. Strips configured for dual circuits can be assembled with color-coded outlets to denote their circuit source.

"The new PDT Series is innovative in its simplicity," explained Bob Schluter, Middle Atlantic Products, CEO and Chief Engineer. "We listened to integrators and are essentially providing a lot more for much less - a lot more versatility for significantly less real-estate within the enclosure!"
