Features include enhanced finish and new accessories for advanced functionality

LAS VEGAS, March 16, 2006 — Providing contractors with class leading looks and functionality at no extra charge, Middle Atlantic Products announced enhancements to its BRK & OBRK Series knock down enclosures at NSCA 2006. Ideal for use in houses of worship, restaurants, studios and anywhere higher aesthetics are needed, the BRK Series now features an enhanced black wood grain finish for improved aesthetics at no extra charge, and new accessories for both series include a locking glass door, Quick-PositionÔ shelves and rear rackrail options.

An industry first, the new Quick-Position™ Shelves mount quickly and easily using high-strength pins for 4-point support of non-rackmount components within the rack. Quick-Position shelves were designed to mount directly behind the rack’s standard front rackrail, making the BRK and OBRK Series an ideal solution for mixing professional and consumer equipment in the same rack. The Quick-Position™ shelves also provide for the mounting of PD-815SC vertical power strips to save valuable space, and have been engineered with ventilation slots for optimized airflow. Cable management is simplified with slots that accept Velcro® wire straps, including the Middle Atlantic Products TW12.

While front rackrail is standard, integrators can now order optional rear threaded rackrail, affording them greater flexibility when mounting components. Both rack series now feature an optional tempered glass door with keylock that gives any enclosure a finished look and provides end-users with the ability to secure components. In addition, the BRK Series and its accompanying RK Series of smaller depth knock down racks have been expanded to include additional sizes for more versatile installation.
