LAS VEGAS, NEVADA April 24, 2006 – Designed to provide broadcast installers with a multi-functional solution for efficient rack illumination and power distribution, Middle Atlantic Products today introduced the new PDLT Rack Light Series: a rackmounted LED light that extends easily to provide operators with instant illumination on an enclosure’s front, and technicians with rear illumination for added convenience during maintenance. In addition to improved lighting for maintenance, the UL-listed PDLT Series Rack Light provides installers with added power distribution options within an enclosure, and two-stage surge suppression monitoring that simplifies an operator’s job of monitoring and protecting sensitive electronics.

The PDLT Series Rack Light is a retractable, spring-loaded dimmable LED light that slides out and retracts smoothly with a single touch. The single rackspace unit provides 15-amp power distribution via eight circuit breaker protected rear outlets that are vertically oriented and spaced to accommodate plug-in power supplies. The PDLT Series also incorporates effective, two-stage spike and surge suppression along with a monitoring system that indicates the unit’s protection status. The system can locally indicate if surge protection is compromised via front panel indicators and, in the event that the system’s protection is compromised completely, the PDLT Series will provide remote notification to a customer supplied monitoring device.

With an ultra compact design, the PDLT Series occupies only a single rackspace yet is deep enough to make access to rear outlets easy. Additional lighting for the rear of the enclosure is made possible with Middle Atlantic Products’ new LT-GN gooseneck LED lights, which can be quickly connected to the PDLT Series’ two rear USB ports. In addition, the unit’s clean ground surge suppression design will not pass noise contamination to ground.

Also available in the PDLT Rack Light Series is a Designer Inspired model for highly aesthetic environments. Available in black or silver anodized finishes, the Designer Inspired PDLT Rack Light features a dimmable Middle Atlantic Products logo on the front.
