Industry’s thinnest, most configurable power strip series now available with new cord kit options for added versatility

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, April 24, 2006 — Middle Atlantic Products is giving installers increased freedom when configuring power distribution for individual enclosure systems’ needs by introducing new cord kit accessories for their PDT Series Configurable Thin Power Strips at NAB 2006. With an already unprecedented level of versatility, the new cord kit accessories make it even easier to order and install the versatile UL-listed PDT Series Power Strips in any broadcast enclosure and extend an installer’s level of customization when configuring power strips in the field.

New for NAB 2006, the cord kit accessories attach directly to any PDT Power Strip J-box, making it easy to change from a hard-wired to a corded power strip and giving installers added flexibility in the field. Factory pre-assembled and easily ordered with just one SKU, the low-profile design of the PDT Series – less than one inch deep – makes it ideal for installations where weight and plug density play a vital role, such as mobile broadcast operation centers.

“Broadcast projects specifically require integrators to pay particular attention to space and, increasingly, weight in mobile applications,” explained Bob Schluter, Middle Atlantic Products, CEO and Chief Engineer. “The new PDT Series provides greater versatility while using significantly less real-estate. Field configurable for the installer’s choice of single or dual circuits, and isolated or non-isolated ground, PDT Series Power Strips are available in 15- and 20-amp models, provide additional power distribution choices inside enclosure systems and remove even more variables when it comes to ordering, stocking and installing power strips. With strategically spaced outlets to accommodate plug-in power supplies, the PDT Series Power Strips provide optimum useable space while occupying minimal rackspace. PDT Series Power Strips feature a J-Box for easy hardwiring and alternating outlet colors to denote separate circuit sources when configured for dual circuits.
