Easy-to-install equipment base slides out and rotates simplifying access to AV component connections.

LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA, November 15, 2006 — Providing custom residential installers with a simple, quick solution for safely and efficiently housing AV components in an existing home entertainment center, Middle Atlantic Products today introduced its new Rotating Sliding Base at the EHX Fall Expo 2006.  The new Rotating Sliding Base gives integrators an easy solution for installing essential AV components as a small, standalone system, or as a remotely situated, active component of a larger, distributed AV system.

Designed to support a small AV system, the open design of the Rotating Sliding Base is ideal for installation in any entertainment center and in close proximity to other shelves and/or components, while affording integrators easy access to rear cables and cable connections.  The Rotating Sliding Base features a low profile so that mounting space is maximized and includes a Middle Atlantic Products’ cable management system to ensure that cables are neatly organized without kinking.  To keep components locked in place on the base, Middle Atlantic Products provides commercial-grade Velcro dots to connect components to the base itself as well as to other components.

The Rotating Sliding Base can support up to 75 lbs. of equipment.  Cable straps and Velcro ties are included for efficient management of speaker cables, coaxial cables, phone lines and power cords.  The Rotating Sliding Base provides users with a fixed stop point so that the base can be rotated up to 60 degrees in only one direction.  The user can then decide which direction the Rotating Sliding Base will turn.  Custom residential integrators can also combine the Rotating Equipment Base with Middle Atlantic Products’ Component Cooler or Middle Atlantic Products’ power accessories to optimize any AV environment and ensure a safe, reliable and efficient entertainment system.
