R4 Series Four Post Open Frame Racks specifically designed to promote effective thermal management and support heavier, deeper, systems-critical components.
ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, June 19, 2007 - Application-engineered to address the specific thermal, cable and space requirements of today's heat intensive components and rackrooms, Middle Atlantic Products today introduced its new R4 Series Four Post Open Frame Racks at InfoComm 2007. R4 Series Four Post Open Frame Racks are rugged, open frame enclosures that support deeper, heavier loads than traditional two post racks, accentuate passive thermal management to effectively vent harmful excess heat, and provide integrators with reliable, versatile and affordable mounting solutions for AV applications.
The robust R4 Series Four Post Open Frame Racks can be ordered in two different styles, each with specific features that make them ideal for use with certain components, including: Open Frame Four Post Rack with Cage Nut Rackrail for servers or other equipment requiring cage nut mounting hardware, featuring a steel, four post design, 1,000lb weight capacity, and 100 6mm rack screws and cage nuts; or the Open Frame Four Post Rack with 12-24 Threaded Rackrail for networking, telephone and voicemail equipment, routers and switches, featuring an aluminum, four post design, 2,500lb weight capacity, and 100 pieces of 12-24 threaded mounting hardware. Each rack style also includes base angles that can be assembled to fit outside of the enclosure for increased stability or inside to save space.

R4 Series Four Post Open Frame Racks also feature a number of mounting locations for optional accessories such as 6", 9" or 12" cable ladders, Middle Atlantic Products' new Vertical Lacing Strips, PDT Power Strips, or PDLT Rack Lights. R4 Series Enclosures are available in useable depths of 24", 30" and 36", affording integrators the ability to accommodate deeper components, and can be ganged with other, additional four or two post open frame racks.
