MIDDLE ATLANTIC PRODUCTS INTRODUCES NEW STUDIO FURNITURE DESIGNS AND ACCESSORIES FOR CORPORATE EDIT FACILITIES

ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, June 15, 2000
Middle Atlantic Products, a leading supplier of electronic equipment enclosures and studio furniture systems for the installed audio and video, broadcast and post production industries, addresses one of the critical issues affecting audio-video communications professionals and facility designers today: the need for high quality, multi-functional studio furniture available immediately from stock.

The market for studio furniture has traditionally been polarized," explained Mark Tracy, Middle Atlantic Products Director of Marketing. "Where there used to be vacuum between the quality and custom design inherent in expensive high end furniture and the affordability and availability of off-the-shelf products, now Edit Center delivers the custom-like quality, functionality and elegance yet at an attractive price. Edit Center has truly redefined the marketplace and our corporate audio-visual customers appreciate that."

The Middle Atlantic Edit Center line of studio furniture systems includes the company's extensive and user configurable line of 60-inch and 84-inch desk designs, with a wide array of features that perfectly address the needs of the audio-visual communications professional. "We believe that the features you need should be built-in, not expensive add-ons," Tracy adds.

Each Edit Center desk system ships complete in one of two styles of attached overbridge (with two integral under-bridge rackbays, or with an under-bridge open span), and all feature rotating speaker monitor platforms as standard equipment. Edit Center additionally includes grommeted desktop cable pass-throughs and a cable manager that accommodates Middle Atlantic power strips. Standard Edit Center systems feature side-bay racks, which include gasketed plexiglass front doors for noise control, and for efficient cooling includes a factory installed ultra quiet fan and filter on gasketed rear doors. For optimum ergonomics the Edit Center System can be quickly arranged to suit any user's preference by rotating the unique Side Bay Racks to the desired angle. Acknowledging the importance of style as well as substance in contemporary corporate media rooms, all system components are available in a choice of attractive cherry or graphite laminate finish.

"The market success of the Edit Center designs sends a message to audio-visual communications professionals that they no longer have to settle for poor quality, fixed configuration systems or otherwise invest in over-priced, wait-listed custom studio furniture systems," said Tracy.

Headquartered in Riverdale, New Jersey, Middle Atlantic Products, Inc. is a world leading manufacturer of state of the art steel enclosure systems for a wide range of applications, including the contracting, broadcast, post production, structured cabling and premise wiring markets. Dedicated to the proposition that the enclosure system is every bit as important as the equipment it holds, the company incorporates custom engineering into every system it designs in order to meet the individualized requirements of the broadest range of installers.
