Can I sign up for access to middleatlantic.com?


Yes! By creating your own login to middleatlantic.com you will be able to save and share everything you create in the design tool. If you have a factory direct account with Middle Atlantic, you may receive additional access beyond saving and sharing designs. To create your own login, click here.

 

How can I access customer portal?


Your customer portal login has been replaced by a middleatlantic.com account and all previous functionality is still available for use. To log in to your account, click here. To learn more about what an account can provide or create a login, click here.

 

I have a direct account with Middle Atlantic Products, how do I connect to my account?


All you need to do is create a new account and be sure to enter your existing account number during the signup process.  Once your accounts are linked, your company administrator & your Middle Atlantic Customer Service team will be notified.

 

What is the role of my company administrator?


The admin has access to view and purchase all saved projects and individual items as well as grant specific levels of access to others within their organization. For companies that are not direct accounts, Middle Atlantic’s Customer Service team can act as your administrator.

 

I’ve already signed up, but now I want to link my accounts.  What do I do?


You should contact our Customer Service team.  Chat, Email and phone are available through the contact us section of middleatlantic.com. 

 

I think I should have more access.  How do I get it?


Contact your company administrator or a Middle Atlantic’s Customer Service representative for assistance. Chat, Email and phone are available through the contact us section of middleatlantic.com. 

 

Are there certain browsers that offer me a better experience?


While middleatlantic.com is compatible with most browsers, the configurator functions optimally on Internet Explorer versions 10 and 11, Safari 7.x, and Google Chrome.  

 

How do I get help using the design tool?


We met with a lot of customers and developed the above list of tutorial videos that should help you with the basic navigation as well as a complete run-through of the tool from a Middle Atlantic Expert.  If you need further assistance, please contact one of our award-winning Middle Atlantic Customer Service Representatives for a personal tour!

How do I purchase online?


Select the “Add to Cart” option from the quote screen or from a project’s dropdown box under the ‘My Quoted Projects’ tab. To view the contents of your cart you can also click on the cart icon in the top right corner of the page. Only users who are authorized to purchase will be able to access these options.

Who is eligible to purchase online?

 

Dealers and distributors with a factory-direct Middle Atlantic account may purchase products online once they have had their account linked and have been granted purchasing permission by either Middle Atlantic’s Customer service team or their company’s administrator.


What are the benefits of generating a quote?

 

Generating a quote will enable access to documentation to help your planning and client communication process.  By generating a quote, you will be given the opportunity to export a number of documents including various formats of the quote, CAD drawings, A&E Specifications, 3-Part Specs and an assembly document with all the details of your design.

 

What happens when I generate a quote?

 

In addition to enabling the export of files (pricing, CAD, specs, and a shop assembly document) the draft project is moved from the ‘My Draft Projects’ tab to the ‘My Quoted Projects’ tab.


How do I create a customized quote for my customer?

 

For saved projects under the ‘My Quoted Projects’ tab of the My Projects screen, select ‘Quote my Customer’ from the dropdown box. For a walk through of all the features available, please see the video titled, “Creating a Full System Quote for My Customer” posted at the top of the page.


Is there a way to personalize the quote I created in "Quote My Customer"?


Yes – in addition to showing/hiding MSRP, Labor, Freight, and part numbers, you can replace the Middle Atlantic logo with your own. Simply go to your account page and click on the link Upload My Logo. Follow the instructions listed on the screen to properly upload your logo.


What is a shop assembly document and how do I get one?

 

The shop assembly document is a detailed list and depiction of each item in your design, specifying the installed location of each component.  It is available on the export screen once you have generated a quote for your project (or from the Export option in the dropdown list of the project under “My Projects”).

 

How do I export my project quote?

 

After quoting your project, select ‘Export’ from the quote screen or the dropdown box on the ‘My Projects’ page.  You can export your quote with or without pricing, and to a variety of file formats. 

 

How do I export the CAD files of my design?

 

After generating a quote for your project, select ‘Export’ from the quote screen or from the dropdown box on the ‘My Projects’ page.  Clicking the ‘2D CAD Files’ link - you will be provided with a single zip file containing a 2D CAD for each of the 6 views (Note: The CAD will be in a 1:1 ratio and each product its own individual block).

 

How do I share designs?

 

While users within the same company have visibility to the company’s projects, the design tool will also let you share designs with clients.  After you’ve quoted your project, select ‘share’ from the quote screen or from the dropdown box on the ‘My Projects’ page.  In the resulting dialogue box, type in a single email address or select one from the dropdown box.  Click ‘share’ and a link with a unique passcode to access your project will be emailed to that contact.  When the recipient accesses the link with the passcode, a copy of the design will be generated in the drafts section of the recipient’s ‘My Projects’ page.  When accessed, it will be priced at the recipient’s price level.   We are working on ways to improve the naming and identification automatically, but in the meanwhile it may help to note the project name in the comments section along with any applicable notes you wish to share with the recipient.

 

How do I change the name of my project?

 

You can rename any project under the 'My Draft Projects' tab. Select 'Rename' from the dropdown and enter the new name in the dialogue box provided. Quoted projects can only be renamed once a copy or revised version is created.

 

Will Middle Atlantic build my design to my specification?

 

Yes – in many cases, and at no extra charge.  While in the process of generating a quote, you may be prompted with an option to have your rack(s) or furniture product(s) assembled at the factory.  The following series can be shipped factory-assembled :

  • ERK Series (excludes -KD models)

How do I revise a quote?


To make changes to a saved quote, select ‘Revise’ from the dropdown list. This will generate a copy of your project with a revision number and time stamp under the My Draft Projects tab. Your original quote will remain unchanged and the revised version will have a new expiration date and quote number assigned to it.

I’m not getting the results I expect on a rack search.  What is going on?

 

It’s possible the product you are looking for is not yet available to configure online.  We are in the process of adding our entire catalog, so please click here to see the current list of rack series.

 

Is the freight estimate on my quote a guaranteed rate?

Estimates are not guaranteed.  The quote screen will generate an estimate representative of what it would cost to ship the product specified to the designated zip code. It considers partial shipment to a commercial address with loading dock.  A freight quote is provided at the time of checkout and precisely represents the final cost of the shipment to the full address entered, taking into consideration any special options selected, on the day you check out.
 

What are some of the features of the design screen?

What furniture is available to configure online?


Currently, C5 Series Credenzas are the only furniture products available in the design tool. We are working to add more in the near future.

 

What is unique about using the design tool to quote furniture?


Compared to using it for steel racks, the credenza design experience in the design tool will require you to make some selections upfront to ensure you get exactly what you require.

 

What if I don't know what finish to select?


No problem! Choose a temporary finish type to continue through the selection process. Try to narrow down to HPL, Thermolaminate or Veneer – most of the other options will not change the price of the finishing kit itself. This should allow you to quote your customer and let you take your next steps. Remember, you can always revise a completed project.

 

How do I revise a completed design project?


Use the dropdown menu on the My Projects page to copy a draft or to revise a quoted project.

 

Can I export pictures of the C5?


Yes! Complete your project by generating a quote. On the quote screen or from the My Projects screen, choose 'export' and select the 'shop assembly document' option.


 

What if I already have my frame?


You can use the design tool to generate a quote for the finishing kit you need and buy that separately through your normal purchasing procedure.
